CAPACITY CROWD
Over 700 people attended the 38th Annual Awards Luncheon which
had the usual enjoyable mix of special awards, lively conversation and interesting exhibits. Receiving the coveted Spirit of Los Angeles Award was Council President John Ferraro, with Mayor Richard Riordan making the presentation. Other awards went to UCLA's new hospital complex, and the Norton Simon Museum. Special thanks to Barbara Trister, chair of the Awards Luncheon (and three-time past president), who produced a great event and to Bob Taylor who coordinated over 30 exhibits for the capacity crowd to review.
